Endowment Fund

There are two endowment funds that benefit Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Both are held by the Abbotsford Community Foundation.

The General Hospital Fund

Established in 1993, the agreement specifies that the income of this fund shall be disbursed from time to time, at least annually, for the purchase of equipment for the general hospital in the Abbotsford area.

Donors interested in contributing to this fund can give at http://www.abbotsfordcf.org/ In Step 2 of the donation process, select A Specific Non-Profit Agency Fund and choose Abbotsford Regional Hospital from the drop down menu.

The Spud and Jean Huestis Memorial Fund

It was the expressed wish of Mrs. Huestis that the earnings from this investment are to be donated, on an annual basis, to the Abbotsford Regional Hospital for the purpose of providing improved facilities in those areas of the hospital which would not normally be funded by the government, i.e. to improvements in the education and personal facilities of patients and professional staff. More specifically, these funds would be directed to audio-visual aids, library and patient information aids, personal comforts and other such areas that the Board of Trustees deem appropriate.

Abbotsford Legacy Stories Program 

You can leave both a financial and historical legacy to the community of Abbotsford by participating in the Abbotsford Legacy Stories Program.  Leave a bequest to a fund held by the Abbotsford Community Foundation and your story or that of a family member you wish to honour will be added to the Abbotsford Legacy Book.
