Events Assistant

Reports to: Events and Marketing Manager
Employment Status: Contract – 30 hours a week
Hourly Wage: $25.00

About the Role
The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Event
Assistant to support the planning and execution of fundraising and community engagement
events across the Fraser Valley. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced,
team-oriented environment and has a passion for community impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising and community events
  • Support event logistics including set-up, tear-down, registration, and guest support
  • Liaise with vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and staff
  • Assist with event materials, signage, décor, and supplies
  • Support on-site event operations, including troubleshooting as needed
  • Assist with post-event follow-up, tracking, and reporting
  • Provide administrative support related to events as required

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in events, hospitality, fundraising, or community engagement is an
    asset
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Comfortable lifting light event materials and standing for extended periods
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Canva or event software is an asset
  • A team player with a positive, flexible attitude
