MOTHER’S DAY RUN SUCCESS!

Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation’s (FVHCF) 24th Annual Run for Mom was a SUCCESS!

“We had another great turnout of about 160 participants for Run for Mom this year,” said Liz Harris, Executive Director FVHCF “It was a beautiful morning walk/run along the Vedder River in support of the Chilliwack General Hospital Maternity Department. The funds we raise at this event stay in your community and help support the nurses and doctors who care for the patients and babies with the purchase of supplies and needed equipment.”

Congratulations to our 2024 winner, Laken Olsen. Coming in second place was Jeremy Acker followed by his son Willem Acker. The top 3 winners received gift cards from the Ajwani family, owners of M&M Food Market Luckakuck Way, and Chilliwack who also joined us at the event to hand out juice pops to all the participants and volunteers.

We would like to thank the following for their support in helping make Run for Mom a success: Ruby Sponsor – Chilliwack Hospital Auxiliary, Emerald Sponsor – Envision Financial Garrison. Plant donations were supplied by Minter Country Garden, and McDonald’s on Luckakuck supplied the morning muffins and coffee. Thank you to Garrison Running Co for your continued support in helping organize this event and supplying prizes along with Frankies Italian Kitchen, Abbotsford Canucks, Chilliwack Chiefs, Sidebar Grill and OSIM.

Thank you to all our volunteers from the FVHCF Youth Volunteer group, Chilliwack Secondary School and the Chilliwack Jets Junior “A” hockey team.

Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for health care services and programs in the Fraser Valley Regional Hospital District. The Foundation supports the Chilliwack General Hospital, Abbotsford Regional Hospital, Mission Memorial Hospital, Fraser Canyon Hospital, and Hope Hospital.
