In 2020, the Auxiliary to the Fraser Canyon Hospital and Fraser Hope Lodge saw their Spring Fashion Show, Fall Silent Auction and Gift shop shuttered. Earlier this year the gift shop had reopened and plans are forging for the return of their other fundraisers.
This fall the much-anticipated Silent Auction is set to return, details for the event will be announced soon. In the spring of 2023, Hope will see models on the runway with, the always sold out, Fashion Show. “We always enjoy partnering with the Auxiliary for the Fashion Show.” Said Liz Harris, Executive Director of Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation. “It is always a fun and creative event.”
In spite of event cancellations and shop closures, the Auxiliary was still able to make a significant gift to the Fraser Canyon Hospital and Fraser Lodge. They were able to maintain funding of the Hospital due to the gracious support from the community.
The Auxiliary’s $44,000 gift will allow for needed equipment such as pediatric medical imaging chairs, mattresses, vital sign monitors, IV pumps and more. All of the equipment will have a direct and positive impact on the care and lives of patients at Fraser Canyon Hospital and Fraser Hope Lodge.
The Auxiliary fundraises enhance the care and treatment of patients at the hospital and residents at the lodge. With the Gift Shop now open and major fundraising events returning shortly, the Auxiliary is in need of additional members.
