Thank you for supporting improved health care in the Fraser Valley East. The gifts we have received from individuals, families, businesses and organizations have positively impacted healthcare in our communities.

Thanks to the caring of people like you, we are now fully funded for the renovation and equipment of the breast health clinic at Chilliwack General Hospital, and for the purchase of the CT scanner for Mission Memorial Hospital. We continue to work to improve health care in our communities. Currently, pacemakers are not implanted at any facility in the Fraser Valley East, meaning people requiring a pacemaker must leave our area — but that is about to change. I am pleased to announce that the Pacemaker Implant Program at Abbotsford Regional Hospital, as part of the Fraser Health Authority Implantable Cardiac Electrical Device (ICED) Program, will be active by September 2023.

This brand-new initiative will have a huge, positive impact on everyone in the Fraser Valley East who requires pacemaker implantation. It is just another example of what can be achieved when we all work together. Thank you for supporting improved health care in the Fraser Valley East.
